Chinese Mission to the UN

Throughout the US and the world, Save Darfur and Globe for Darfur activists will be positioned in front of the Chinese diplomatic offices on this date. This will be a repeated action leading up to the Beijing Olympics.

 

China is obstructing the UN Security Council's ability to protect the innocent civilians. The UN forces do not have the tools they need. A dire situation has gotten worse, now that there is a humanitarian crisis in the Chadian camps.

A civil war between Chad and Sudan would place all the displaced Darfuris (and Chadian civilians) in the middle of the front lines.

 

We need the UN forces fully funded and equipped now more than ever. We also need an ongoing commitment to peace talks. And sanctions against those officials responsible for the ongoing atrocities.

 

We will be joined by Olympic athletes, public officials and (maybe) Mia Farrow (unconfirmed).
