Global Days Event April 11 (Day for Darfur: Tents of Hope)
We will join with over 1000 members of Amnesty International coming in from Boston to bring our message of protection and accoountability to the Sudanese Mission to the UN. Join us at Dag Hammersjkold Plaza, in front of the Mission from 2:40 - 3:20 as we rally and call for the immediate arrest of ICC (International Criminal Court) indictees Ahmed Haroun and Ali Kushayb, currently serving in positions of power in the Sudanese regime. We may be distributing names of destroyed villages to participating members so that people can come to represent a particular village that has been decimated by the Janjiweed militias that are funded, trained and supported by the Sudanese regime. On the fifth anniversary of the continuing Darfur atrocities, come join with us as we ask for peace, protection and justice!!

This event is co-sponsored by New York City Coalition for Darfur, Brooklyn for Peace, Westchester Darfur Coalition, Long Island Darfur Action Group, Connecticut SaveDarfur and New Jersey Responds to Darfur, as well as Amnesty International (Get On the Bus 2008).
